Scene 3 – Wrigley Field

The Saint Andrew Parish “Journey to Jesus” makes a stop at Wrigley Field. Generations of Chicago Cubs fans have come to this hallowed ballpark filled with hopes for a World Series championship. Despite the many lost Octobers, fans came back every season, saying to themselves, “This will be the year.” In 2016, after a 108 year drought the Chicago Cubs won the World Series, turning everlasting hope into joy. The Three Kings began their journey in search of the One who would bring hope to the world. Upon finding the Christ child their hope was turned to joy. Like the Three Kings, we search for hope for our troubled world. As disciples of Jesus, we find hope and joy in Him.

Thank you God for the Chicago Cubs, and for all the people, places and things that bring us joy and remind us that “Hope does not disappoint.” Amen.
