In one of his last exhortations before his arrest, Jesus is clear: “This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” It is easy for me to look at how others act and judge them, but how do Jesus’ words effect me? When I’m at home with my family, do I show love? When I’m at school or at activities with other children my age, do I show love? If we are able to ensure that each day, someone receives a simple sign of love from us, soon we will be able to show love for all the types of people we se everyday, and then we will truly live up to our call to be disciples of Jesus.
