Hello Saint Andrew Parish,
What an incredible gift it is to be welcomed by you! I would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Megan, the parish staff, and many of you who have greeted me with warmth and excitement. I have long been seeking a parish community here in Chicago and I am hopeful for what these next few months may hold – for all of us.
I bring with me a spiritual life deeply formed and sustained by a year with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, monthly Nuns & Nones gatherings, and what seems to be endless academic readings. You are meeting me in my final year at Loyola University Chicago Institute of Pastoral Studies as I complete my Masters of Divinity / Social Justice dual degree. Truly, prayers accepted!
Alongside you, I look forward to supporting the ongoing efforts of the parish to safely gather, learn, and love. I pray our time together, be it on the Safety Team or in celebration of Holy Week, is full and lasting.
Truly grateful,
Kascha Sanor
Dear Parish Family,
Although there are still several weeks left in Lent, my waiting is almost over – in fact, it might finished by the time this letter reaches you! My husband and I are preparing to welcome our first child very soon, and I am writing to wish you a fond but temporary farewell as I take leave of the parish for a few months. The staff blessed me with prayers and hand-delivered cupcakes (from Dinkel’s’ of course) during our last digital meeting on Thursday. I will deeply miss them and all of you, but am excited to enter into the new vocation of parenthood.
I am pleased to introduce you to Kascha Sanor, who will be taking over a large portion of my work as the Pastoral Ministry Assistant while I am on leave. I am also incredibly grateful to volunteers Mike Bichimer and Mitch Krafcheck who are supporting our volunteer and youth ministries while I am gone.
May God hold you closely in the spirit of love,
Megan
