Start a conversation to prepare for Mass
Saint Andrew Parish has supplied every family with the book “Celebrating Sunday for Catholic Families 2024-25” published by Liturgy Training Publications.
We invite everyone at home or during religion class to take a moment to prepare for Mass by reading the Gospel and having a short conversation with the discussion questions asked in the book. The video included here will help inspire your own conversations.
The Sunday Gospel readings can be found at https://bible.usccb.org/

"Peace be with you," Jesus tells his disciples. Why is this so important for him to stress not just once but multiple times in this passage? It seems clear that Jesus' peace is meant to be a hallmark of Christian life - a peace bestowed by the breath of the Holy Spirit that bears witness to the presence of the resurrected Lord in our midst. It's a peace offered even when we openly doubt or hold back, wary that this gift could be for us. Does this feel true to you? When have you most felt at peace and what robs you of it? What actions are within your power to protect that peace?
