Start a Conversation to Prepare for Mass

Saint Andrew Parish has supplied every family with the book “Celebrating Sunday for Catholic Families 2025-26” published by Liturgy Training Publications.

We invite everyone at home or during religion class to take a moment to prepare for Mass by reading the Gospel and having a short conversation with the discussion questions asked in the book. The video included here will help inspire your own conversations.

The Sunday Gospel readings can be found at https://bible.usccb.org/

We all know we must avoid serious sins. Jesus reminds us today that it's not just big, horrible actions that can cause harm in our lives and damage our relationship with God. he tells us that the things we might not even notice-- things like being angry with someone or wanting what someone else has -- can lead to big problems. Thankfully, we've been given the gift of the Holy Spirit who can help us see where we need God's help and who can give us the strength we need to change!
